Artist Statement

I am interested in a meditative art that can lead the viewer toward a deeper perception of the life of the spirit. I want my paintings to be simple and mysterious, tender and powerful, personal and universal. Perhaps a tragic element is inescapable today, but I am not interested in despair. Whatever else it does, art should enhance life.
